Los Angeles Travel Guide:

Shopping in Los Angeles

Los Angeles shopping is world class. Shopping districts are plentiful, and full of trendy, upmarket boutiques. The world famous Rodeo Drive, site of Julia Roberts's legendary Pretty Woman shopping trip, draws celebrities and visitors in their droves to its ultra chic shops and designer boutiques, including such names as Cartier, Gucci and Tiffany. Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard offer more of the same, while Third Street is a hip area with unusual and unique stores offering quirky gifts and specialties. More stellar shopping can be found on Montana Avenue, La Brea, Downtown/Santee Alley, Sunset Plaza and Westwood Village.

Over the past decade, many traditional Los Angeles shopping malls were replaced by open air malls, which are now very popular with both locals and visitors. The most popular shopping malls in Los Angeles include Fallbrook Center, Sherman Oaks Galleria, and Whitwood Town Center.
