Barcelona shopping takes place in the city's 35,000 shops, including the famous 5 kilometre shopping line, stretching from the top of las Ramblas, through the beautiful Placa de Catalunya along Passeig de Gràcia and up the prestigious Avenue Diagonal. Most of Barcelona's shopping line is pedestriansed, which makes wandering from shop to shop without worrying about traffic a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Along the Barcelona shopping line there's a huge selection of shops, including such designer names as Versace, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Cartier, Bally, and Calvin Klein - to name but a few. Barcelona is also full of high quality Spanish designer shops which supply a fantastic range of clothes, accessories, shoes and jewellery with chic European style.

Another big part of shopping in Barcelona is the many fabulous department stores. Two of the most popular are El Corte Ingles and Fnac, both on the Barcelona shopping line. The larger El Corte Ingles is located in Placa de Catalunya.
